Montecastello rises in between Valdera and the lower Valdardno, on the last hills that move towards the start of the Pisana plains, above an orbicular hill at 130 metres above sea level, just a short distance from Pisa and from the sea on one side and Florence, Volterra and Siena on the other side.
A beautiful surprise for those that visit the top of this hill for the first time and can enjoy the Apennines at the outfall of the Arno and Pontedera, down to the sea, across the hills that range from Valdera to Volterra, passing through a range of suburbs and villages that, during the day are camouflaged with the warm colours of the Tuscan sun, at sunset they offer a beautiful and suggestive spontaneous light.
Once past the village, along the road that goes up the walls dating back to the year 1000, it transforms all into one with the surrounding nature, reaching Val di Lama.
The hospitality of an elegantly furnished environment, in total tranquillity. The unique beauty of Tuscan rustic area, the warm shades of the wood and cotto. The thousand tones of greenery and nature that will become your travel companions. |
